Ideas for contents

In the lesson i started planning what will be in the contents of my magazine, i used brainstorms to come up with some ideas that will help me when i start designing my magazine.

The main coverlines will be about the bands we have interviewed in our magazine. I plan to have a big coverline about the band on my front cover, as the subjects on the front cover of magazines are often the main story in the magazine.

The product promos in my magazine wil include a fashion page; as i am aiming my magazine at mainly females between the ages of 16 -20, and sterotypially females of this age are very interested in fashion and their appearence.

I may include a freebie on the front cover of my magazine as will draw my audience in and make them want to buy the magazine if they have a chance of winning something for free. If i do include a freebie it will be for something like an ipod as it is a very popular gadget with young adults, and therefore will be appealing to my target audience. Also an ipod is a musical item, and as my magazine is a music magazine it will fit in well with the genre, as the people who are looking at the music magazines will be interested in music.
In the content of my magazine i will include an exclusive interview/review of a famous band or artist, as this will interest the audience as the band will be well known. I may include revealled secrets from a band/artist as this will create suspense and make the audience want to buy my magazine.
The bands/artists that i will consider to include in my magazine are Biffy Clyro, the Foo Fighters, Paramore, Kings of Leon, Muse, Mumford & Sons, All time low, Blink-182, red hot chilli peppers and pink.
